Emergency and Inpatient Cardiovascular Care

  • Chest Pain Observation Units
    • The units are located within the Harford Memorial Hospital and Upper Chesapeake Medical Center Emergency Departments.
    • We provide rapid, specialized services to determine whether a patient's chest pain is due to a heart attack.
    • Care is driven by protocols that govern when and how tests are performed to rule out a heart attack.
  • Intensive Care and Telemetry Unit
    • Our Intensive and Progressive Care Units at Harford Memorial Hospital and Upper Chesapeake Medical Center provide continuous heart monitoring for patients who require hospitalization.
    • The units are staffed by critical care physicians 24 hours a day.
